Each month several homes are posted for foreclosure with the county clerk’s office in Cooke County. Once your lender has notified you of the pending foreclosure, you have 21 days to take action.

Once your lender has notified you of foreclosure then you have 21 days to take one of the following actions:

Work with your current lender

Work with a new lender

File bankruptcy

Sell your home and stop the foreclosure

Give up and let the home go to Auction

Each of these options has separate tax and credit implications and you should consult the relevant experts on those topics. However, if you want to avoid having a foreclosure on your financial record, then selling your home quickly may be the best option if you have exhausted all other means of avoiding foreclosure.
